But good post! The cockfights I have been to always leave me disappointed. It's like a 3 second flurry of feathers that ends in either, a. 2 dead chickens and a puddle of blood or b. 1 dead chicken and a limping bleeding victor. I always feel like I missed it, like I blinked and missed it all. Don't know why, but I half expect to see the two birds pull out knives and face off with each other moving slowly in a circle like something out of West Side Story. The more interesting part of it is watching the guys tie the blades to the chickens, and watching them hold the rooster up to the opponent so they can give each other the psyche out stare.
