Christy Mathewson


On this date in 1935, Christy Mathewson was elected to the Hall of Fame.

    Hands down my favorite pitcher. I wished I could have seen him pitch. He was a game changer, owning teams in more than one World Series. I have a copy of his book from about 1912 called "Pitching in a Pinch". Fun read.
