Bob Uecker has a stalker?

Per AP, a Wisconsin appeals court has upheld a restraining order that bans Ann Ladd from attending games where Brewers announcer, Bob Uecker is announcing. Uecker says that Ladd has stalked him for years approaching him after games, hiding and then jumping out unexpectedly to talk to him and also staying on the same floor of his hotel and visiting him at the pool. Previously a court issued a four-year injunction against her and Ms. Ladd argued that the restraining order violated her consititutional right to travel. She wants more Uecker.

Bob Uecker has a stalker?

How?

Why?

I am sure that he is a nice guy and we know that he is funny but he is......Bob Uecker. In the card above, he does not exactly look like a guy the ladies would swoon over; and that picture is over 45 years old. Obviously, things don't generally get better over time for anybody in that department so just what is going on here?

Another thing. If you are going to do some crazy stalking behavior and subject yourself to criminal penalries, fines, attorney fees etc, go all out and do it for someone like, I don't know, Derek Jeter or something. If you are going to stalk somebody, pick a true star and STALK him. Better yet, make your availability known to Tiger Woods and then he will stalk you. Much easier.

Who else has a stalker?

Does Tommy Lasorda have a stalker?

Did Casey Stengel have a stalker?

Bobby Cox?

What's the deal here?

Cut him some slack. He's in the Hall of Fame. Actually, three different ones...

* Wisconsin Performing Artists Hall of Fame (1993)
* Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame (1994)
* National Radio Hall of Fame (2001)

He's been a movie and television actor and a published author.

I've heard that over the last decade he's the go to advice guy for athletes such as Tiger and Kobe.

I'm just saying.

Mark,

That certainly puts this in a new light as sheltered here in Detroit, I did not quite appreciate what a mega-star Bob Uecker was. I also did not know that in spite of all of those expensive lawyers that Uecker was actually the guy who saved Kobe's skin. He does need to refine his technique with Tiger a bit because that just is not working.

You know, I think I understand Ann Ladd just a bit better now.

Kevin,

From what insiders are saying, Bob gave Tiger some advice and it appears that Tiger isn't following it.

My guess is that the advice was spot on but Tiger didn't heed it.

Too many jokes come to mind. Time to stop typing.

Mark,

I gotcha.

If Uecker doesn't improve that advice to Tiger, he is going to get sued and he won't have Ann Ladd around to help him.

If he is giving "spot on" advice to Tiger, well Bill Clinton had a similar type problem and his "spot on" issue with the dress sure did not help him there. "Spot on" advice does not work with these things.
