Mark Gonzalez of the Chicago Tribune reports that Gordon Beckham of the White Sox who has been hitting .102 with 15 strikeouts in May has changed his walk-up music from The Outfield's "Your Love" to "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica.
"It's something different," said Beckham. "Now I don't come up hearing the same song that triggered something that's in the past."
This is really a good move on Beckham's part because if you can't hit with the remnants of "Seek and Destroy"* ringing in your ears sparking you, then you just can't hit. Sorry.
But let's back up a second here.
"Your Love"?!?
Let's just go with "no comment" on that.
Because we are nice!
*For maximum effect on his hitting, they should definitely play the part that goes:
There's an evil feeling in our brains
But it's nothing new, you know it drives us insane

That is a rockin' team.
The Tigers walk-up music is.......well not the best. For a few weeks last year, Zumaya entered the game to Slayer's Rain in Blood but stopped because people complained. Not our finest hour.
That is the perfect music for a closer to enter a game to! That's a real shame that people complained about it.
I thought if I played in the MLB, my walk up music would be "Do The Evolution" by Pearl Jam. The beginning of that song would definitely get me in the right frame of mind to hit well.
