Ed Whitson

Born today, none other than Ed Whitson.

While enjoying a respectable career, Whitson is known primarily for his struggles as a Yankee pitching in Yankee Stadium where he was booed heavily by the fans.

Because of this, Whitson will not sign a baseball card or a picture of him in a Yankee uniform.

Ed is also known for breaking his manager Billy Martin's arm during a bar fight.

Now knowing this anybody that asks Whitson to sign his own Yankee card in person is a little nuts if you ask me.

If you really need it, I would try through the mail.

Try including a note along with it saying you hate the Yankees or something.
