Oh, come on now!

You know that lame "pitcher fakes a throw to third base and then picks off the guy at first base" play that NEVER EVER works.

Like in NEVER EVER EVER.

You know like since baseball records have been kept?

The Rangers just perfected it against the Royals.

I don't think this Ned Yost thing is working, sorry.

Well, to be clear, they didn't pick off the guy at first, they got Kendall on his attempt to steal home after Podsednik got stupidly lured off first on the fake throw to third. Ended up being a 1-6-2 Caught Stealing Home. Was a cluster !$%@ all the way around though, I agree. :)

You are right. I should have been more clear. I was just amazed that the play "worked" in any way, shape or form.

You and me both. I was sitting in the stands scoring the game and just had to say... WTF?!? Love your up-to date comments on the daily goings on in baseball btw.

I went to your site to see how scribbled that inning would be on your scorecard and thought to myself "he scored it wrong" and then saw that I was looking at the May 20th scorecard.

My condolences regarding Colonel John McHugh.

Thanks.

I've not posted the scorecard for the game in question yet. I'm going out for dinner with the wife tonight, maybe i'll get it posted tonight or tomorrow morning.
