Born on today's date, Jim Coates.
Jim was nicknamed "The Mummy" because of his skeletal vampire-like appearance.
In his book "Ball Four", Jim Bouton complained that Coates, after throwing at opposing batters "would not get into fights that followed."
Well, he didn't have to!
He could just stare them all down!
