Perez has been off DL since mid July and has pitched 3 times since with the last time being August 1st. With a 6.70 ERA and 2.02 WHIP, they are afraid to pitch him and he makes too much money to cut him. (I still would)
Dessens has been with the Mets this year as well as last year.

I thought Ollie was "injured" and when did Dressens become a Met?

Even more amazing - the Mets needed to send down two pitchers before tonights game so they could promote a starter and activate K-Rod.
Perez and Dessens are both still there.
