When I was younger I loved Peter Gammons. He was an insightful, well-informed journalist.
The longer he's on ESPN the more my feelings towards him aren't fit to print.
I am not a fan of the "rumor" or "trade rumor" guys of which he is one. He is also clearly biased in favor of the Red Sox which is unacceptable to me for a national writer.
More than that, and I know you would probably appreciate this CCC, but read one of his columns. He writes in sentence fragments* and doesn't even try to communicate in complete sentences. If my 13 year old boy wrote that for school, I would make him correct it.
*Yes no doubt I do that here from time to time but this is a casual blog.
