On today's date in 1952, the Tigers traded Virgil Trucks who tossed two no-hitters during the year to the St. Louis Browns with pitcher, Hal White and outfielder, Johnny Groth to the St. Louis Browns for second baseman, Owen Friend, outfielder, Bob Nieman and outfielder, J. W. Porter.
The Tigers apparently had enough of that noise.
