What a day!

Rays and Yankees still tied!

Braves and Phillies still tied and in extras!

Red Sox and Orioles about to resume!

Rangers and Tigers took home field advantage fight to the last day and both won!

And Jose Reyes chose not to participate.

I wonder if he just left the park or at least stayed until the end of the game.

I think the Reyes thing stinks, but, bottom line, I don't think I really care.
Butttttt, last night was the first time ever (EVER!) I wanted the Yankees to lose. Add to that the Orioles winning (taking it to Papelbon made it all the sweeter) and I'm think 2004 has lost some of its luster for Red Sox Nation. They can add 2011 to 1967, 1975, 1978, 1986, 1999, 2003, 2009 (and probably more). I'm shocked they folded like a cheap suit, but, hey...
Now, the Yankees face the Tigers and Verlander for at least two games.
Uh, oh.

Shoulda asked in my last comment..... I could look it up, but I'll bet you know the answer.
How is home field advantage going to be decided for the Tigers and Rangers?

Yes, the Red Sox collapse was shocking.

The Rangers finished a game ahead of the Tigers and so have home field advantage in their series with the Rays. It pushed the Tigers to the Yankees with no home field advantage (for the Tigers).

I will be there Monday at Comerica Park for Game 3 with my boys.

Tigers have the Verlander advantage. Should be fascinating.
Lucky you going to the game. I, sadly enough, won't be at Yankee Stadium. My body armor never came in.
I'm quite sure we'll speak of this series again.......

Good thing Texas ended up a game ahead. A tie in the standings and Detroit would have had home field because they won the season series against the Rangers. Best of luck against the Yankees.
