On this date in 1998, twenty-year old Kerry Wood of the Cubs ties a major league record with 20 strikeouts in a nine-inning game, pitching a one-hitter beating the Astros 2-0.

I think that was pretty accurate too. When he first came up Wood did seem a little green.
