"So for me, a little bit has to be put back on (Stephen) Strasburg here. Ok, you threw a pitch, and you immediately call out the manager and the trainer? Suck it up kid. This is your profession. You chose to be a baseball player. You can't have the cavalry come in and save your butt every time you feel a little stiff shoulder or sore elbow."

For the record, in his 7-year career Dibble made just over 5 million. Strasburg in 2 years has topped 7 million.
If I'm the owner, anything happens to that guy I'm gonna want heads.
If I'm the manager, I make sure that Strasburg stubs a toe he's coming out of the game.
If I'm Strasburg, if I'm so much as dealing with a case of the sads on a given day I'm not going.
If I'm Dibble...I whine about it on the TV cuz I'm jealous this kid is making bank.
And Dibble got fired because of the comment so it didn't really work out too well for him.
Oh, didn't know that. If that was his brand of thoughtful commentary it makes sense, though.
