On this date in 2000, after a fan steals the Dodgers Chad Kreuter's hat and hits him in the back of the head, many Dodgers go into the Wrigley Field stands and start fighting with fans. When the melee ends, several fans are arrested and the game is delayed nearly ten minutes.

While with the Cubs during a home game on June 26, 2002, Hundley "flipped the bird" to fans while rounding the bases after hitting a home run. Afterwards, he rather lamely said he was aiming at a few Reds fans in the crowd.
