A. J. is still working on the "motivational speech" thing

Per AP, prior to yesterday's game against the Angels, new Diamondbacks manager, A. J. Hinch had a closed door meeting with his team, the third in less than two weeks, but he would not divulge what was said. "We had a lot to talk about," Hinch said. "We are a last place team not playing up to our standards."

Fair enough. Apparently, something had to be done though sometimes you can call too many meetings.

The Diamondbacks then went on to lose to the Angels 12-8. In the process, the Diamonbacks allowed a steal of home. They also committed 3 errors in the span of 5 batters in the 5th inning to match a franchise record for errors in an inning. First baseman, Mark Reynolds dropped a routine throw. Right fielder, Justin Upton dropped a line drive and second baseman Felipe Lpoez let a grounder go through his legs as the Chase Field crowd reportedly erupted into boos.

How are liking this managing thing, A. J.?
