K-Rod does not accept apologies. Save your breath.
As everybody has probably already seen by now, Francisco Rodriguez of the Mets and Brian Bruney of the Yankees had a little verbal (though it looked like K-Rod might have wanted it to be more) altercation in left field during batting practice before yesterday's game.
Video replays of the incident show K-Rod to be the aggressor in a "no doubt about it" kind of way and ultimately having to be physically restrained and removed from the scene by teammates. That said, as the Mets appeared to "have the field" at the time, I am not sure that it was quite appropriate for Bruney to approach K-Rod then in his attempt to apologize for something that he said about him in the paper. Maybe yes. Maybe no.
Ok, well anyway the apology was definitely NOT accepted. That much is clear.
After K-Rod's (not so) little outburst, the Mets proceeded to lose to the Yankees 15-0.
Moral of the story: Don't do that stuff!
