Sammy Sosa will "calmly wait" for his Hall of Fame induction

I note that Sammy Sosa has advised ESPN that he will soon announce his retirement (again). There are some throwaway quotes from him as to how everything he achieved was due to "my perseverance" and all that etc. He ends it though with this gem:

"I will calmly wait for my induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Don't I have the numbers to be inducted?"

I guess the implication of the "calmly waiting" phrase is that if he is not voted in to the Hall of Fame by the writers, he may not be so calm and then WATCH OUT!

In the interests of avoiding any kind of one man riot, I would ask the baseball writers to err on the side of caution when considering voting for Sammy Sosa and to quickly and swiftly mark his name on the ballot and return it timely to the Hall of Fame so that they can rubber-stamp Mr. Sosa's induction.

After all, he is presently being nice about this and calmly waiting but apparently that could change at any time.

We just don't want any trouble.
