Perfect!
Webster's definition: 1. complete 2. excellent 3. completely accurate
Baseball definition: 27 up, 27 down. See ya!
Both apply here.
On April 18, 2007, Mark Buehrle pitched a no-hitter against the Rangers giving up only one walk in the process but now it is only the second best game that he has ever pitched.
In Spring Training this year, I remember reading of the White Sox pitching coach complaining about Buehrle's off-season conditioning which I guess is non-existent. I thought, "Give it a rest, man. You have other things to worry about. After all, isn't Jose Contreras still on your staff?"
Oh, well. Anyway, congratulations Mark (I have him in the fantasy league every year) Buehrle! (He did it for me, see?)
On the other hand, I also have Longoria (obviously no hits in a perfect game ) and Jenks (no save opportunity in a perfect game) but that is nitpicking in the extreme so forget I ever said it, ok?

Yeah, big congrats to Buehrle... Even though my Rays were the victim. They replay Rays games at 3:00 AM down here, I just got off of work and in 2 and a half hours I get to watch his perfect performance. I expected the Sox to come out on top in this game. A match up between two ultra talented lefties, an afternoon game, I figured it could have been something special, I was just hoping Kaz might have done better... Oh well, at least we were a part of history, right?
Cheers, great blog, I look forward to reading it. Go Rays!
Well, thank you. Compliments are accepted and encouraged. I have become a regular visitor to your site and like it.
I had a similar experience (well many) years ago when Nolan Ryan no-hit the Tigers who were horrid at the time and not quite the quality team that the Rays are now.
I do see that since his return from dl, Kazmir has been good, then bad, then good, then bad but I think he is too talented not to put it all together soon.
