Per Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald, Florida Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria is upset with the club's failure to make the playoffs and is going to meet with team executives to decide whether to keep Fredi Gonzalez and the rest of the coaching staff.
Really? No joke?
(scratches head)
Memo to Jeffrey Loria:
You have the lowest payroll in baseball. In life, you generally get what you pay for and in this case you got MORE than you paid for. I think your staff did a pretty decent job considering this. As a matter of fact, you would kind of look like a big boob if you did not at least give each of them a very generous Christmas (or Holiday however you want to do it) bonus at the appropriate time.
P.S. Fredi seems quite enegertic in his job in that photo above. That's got to count for something. Right?

he'd be an idiot to get rid of Gonzalez as manager. He got so much out of so little.
