Per Frank Fitzpatrick of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
"(Cole) Hamels will never be one of us and it's not his fault.
The whiny voice. The fashion-mag looks. He was born with those. In Southern California, no less.
That's all fine for him. But it's grating to us."
"It's easier to imagine him as a waiter in a trendy restaurant ("Hi, I'm Cole. I'll be your waiter. Would you like to hear our specials?"); a dance instructor ("You call that a battement fondue?"); an architect* (If I don't use dentil molding, it could ruin the neoclassical motif.") or a model ("Work it, Cole. Work it!")"
If they keep it up, maybe he will do what anybody else in his situation would do** and file for free agency when he is eligible and then the city can finally be rid of this guy they perceive as a problem. ("Get out of here already guy!")
*I have never thought of architects as wimpy guys but maybe that is just me. They design big and strong buildings, don't they?
**"That crap was hard enough for two years. They expect way too much." Billy Wagner on Philly fans.

Right on! It's not like that guy ever pitched them to a WS victory or anything...oh, that's right.
But what has Cole done for them LATELY!?! NOTHING!
(Hangs head in shame, wonders why Phillies fans keep making it harder to root FOR the Phillies against the Yanqis)
