Nothing coming to me

I have had the top picture on my computer for months trying unsuccessfully to think of something worthwhile to say about it on this blog. As you can see, there is a lot going on in the picture which any competent blogger should be able to work with but every time I look at the photo, I just draw a blank for some reason. I have kept the photo all these months as it is really a great photo and I was confident that sooner or later I would find something remotely interesting to say about it.

The guy in the white shirt is a dead-ringer for my neighbor but so what? The girl is making a funny face but kids do that. The kid on the left is eating Cracker Jacks which is not really noteworthy. The guy in the Phillies jersey would like to catch a baseball but the "fan battling the player for a ball" thing has been done to death. The guy in the striped red shirt is in full protective mode but this seems to be a non-starter. The guy in the garbage bag obviously looks silly but again so what?

I confess that I am somewhat embarrassed by my complete lack of creativity with regards to any comments on this photo. This blog simply could not survive if this was a more common occurrence.

Anyway, I see that Topps has now made of card for Carlos Ruiz featuring this play for their 2010 base set.

Great!

Surely, this card will now spark a burst of creative energy for me so to complete this little project and and allow me to once and for all delete this photo from my computer.

(Minutes of sustained uncreative thought)

Maybe I need to go to a sweat lodge or something.
