Suck it up man!

Per Doug Fernandes of the Herald Tribune (Sarasota), temperatures hovered around 50 degrees for a recent Orioles/Pirates spring training game.

Said Gary Allenson, manager of the Baltimore Norfolk AAA franchise, "I was freezing during the first game two days ago."

As to the next game, "I'll have two tops, that jacket, and I'm going to get my thermal bottoms out."

What the....?!

Two tops?!

A jacket on top?!

Thermal bottoms?!

50 degrees?!

Actually, the temperatures have approached, but not yet reached, 50 degrees the last few days in Michigan.

Friday as I came home from work, the boys and neighborhood kids were having a hockey game in the driveway. As I walked past and said hello, Skate Kid said to me "It's hot out today!"

He's seven years old!

Seven years old, Allenson!

Florida weather...it does something to you. 50 degrees down here is equal to 32 degrees in the north. I don't know why, but it does (so says this former northerner).

LOL...so funny. When it's 50 degrees here in Seattle a coat overheats me.

I guess it's all that blood thickening/blood thinning theory relatives always talk about.
