Tracy Jones

Born on today's date, Tracy Jones, major league outfielder from 1986 to 1991.

Tracy also has a long-running sports radio show in Cincinnati and is currently on 700 WLW.

Wikipedia reports that Jones credits himself with inventing the phrase, "It is what it is," at age 7.

Well, here is a little known fact. Ready?

I coined the phrase, "Random events are seldom random," at age 6.

I trump Jones.

What a poseur!

I invented the habit of adding "... and what-not" onto every sentence.

OK, I really didn't. I just wanted to hear how it sounds to publicly admit to taking credit for a phrase that a great number of people find really grating.

I don't like how it sounded.

Gotcha.

I am on an everlasting search for the cretin who popularized the word* "pimping".

If I ever find him/her.....

*Well it is not a word but still.
