Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution indicates that Disney is charging fans $14.50 to watch the Braves practice at Disney's Wide World of Sports. This is not for a game. This is for practice.*
Per the attached photo, I think it is safe to say that supply definitely seems to be exceeding demand for this product.
*Allen Iverson does not agree with this "practice" charge either. "We're talking about practice!"

You may not want to hear this, but I'm a Yankees fan. That being sad, I often have to put up with the "they bought the championship" argument. I always counter with "well, what do you expect them to do with their money?" I further argue that the Yankees make a lot of money because idiots (sadly, like me) are willing to plunk down outrageous sums of money to help pay ARod's salary. Now Yankee Stadium is charging 11 freakin' dollars for a beer!
So, don't think the Braves are much different. Last summer, an entire minor league experience for me and my son (parking, food, ticket) cost me less than ONE ticket at Yankee Stadium. PLUS, we had seats right behind home plate.
To sum up, idiot no more (at least when it comes to baseball).

I don't mind the Yankees. Somebody has to play in the largest market.
I go to probably an equal number of major league and minor league games a year living between Detroit and Lansing.
Go see a Lansing Lugnut on a Sunday afternoon.
*A guaranteed baseball (hint: as you enter the park, walk to the right field hill and the batting practice "home run" balls are still sitting there where they landed before the gates opened)
*The players sign before every game.
*Walk up to the window and get a seat in the second row behind the plate for $6 or $7 or sit anywhere you want.
*Affordable concessions. Workers not surly.
*Affordable souvenier shop.
*Large inflatable slides beyond left field fence. Picnic tables and outside bar next to it.
*Park for $2 in the muffler shop next door.
*Kids run the bases after the game. Usually some players come out and encourage them.
*No traffic on the way out. Pull onto the road and drive away.

After the minor league game I went to with my son, the visiting team (the Trenton Thunder) had to walk from the dugout past the concessions so they could get to their locker room (no subterranean tunnel to the clubhouse for these guys). My son got a slew of autographs. For free. Way to go.
