Tom Gage of the Detroit News reports that the Tigers backup catcher makes $404,900 which is $4900 over the minimum and $100 less than Don Kelly makes.

You have a payroll imbalance here! Now surely a backup catcher with a little pop in his bat is worth more than the 25th man on the team.
