Okaaay, whatever you say
Per AP, Fred Lewis of the Blue Jays felt some type of rush when he came up with two guys on in the ninth inning yesterday with the Jays losing 7-5 to the White Sox.
"A burst of energy came out of nowhere when I saw those guys out there on base and I knew I just had to hit the ball somewhere. I just got a burst of energy and I took a good hack at it." Lewis said.
He then hit a home run.
This "burst of energy" "out of nowhere" stuff is what drives sabermetric people nuts.
How do quantify something like this? Where is this accounted for in his statistics? How can you predict when this burst of energy will come upon him again?
You may as well throw out all statistical analysis right out the window with this stuff going on.

F.Lew is above statistics.
He's playing much better since he moved to Toronto.... eh!
