The Twins sure appreciate quality music

Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press reports that the Twins had a rainout Friday so some of them used this opportunity to show some gratitude to their batboy, Adam Hanson.

Hanson is a senior at nearby Hamiline University and a trumpet player in the school's jazz ensemble that was performing Friday evening at the St. Paul campus.

Kevin Slowey, J.J. Hardy and Drew Butera of the Twins decided to attend the recital and quietly took some seats in the back.

Walters reports that Hanson noticed them in the audience when he looked up once in the middle of a tune.

"They gave me a little wave, " Hanson said. "It was pretty exciting."

At the completion of the concert, Slowey, Hardy and Butera gave Hanson and his bandmates a standing ovation.

"Adam does so much for us around here that we don't even ask him to do, and it was something he was excited about and we wanted to be there for him," Slowey said. "He was all decked out in a nice suit. And he is really good with the trumpet."

"I don't think he expected anyone to be there, but I would have felt silly not going."

How cool!

Go Twins!

Tigers' Division rivals?

Yea, so what.

that's pretty cool. i thought this post was going to be about the music in target field. they have been good with the local flavor - they have played some mats (kiss me on the bus) during the kiss cam segment as well as some prince during games.

That's cool with the Minneapolis stuff. I have heard back in the day that in clubs there, you could literally have Prince playing upstairs and The Replacements playing downstairs. I don't know which one I would pick.

Well, I do but I love them both.
