Dave Parker

Born today, Dave Parker.

On June 30, 1978, Parker fractured his jaw and cheekbone in a collision at home plate with John Stearns of the Mets which caused him to wear a facemask during games to follow.

Look at that!

If he doesn't get royalties for those Halloween movies, something is very wrong.

Pay the man his due!

You know those filmmakers did NOT think of that on their own!

Wow, I do not remember that facemask at all. Must've blocked that out.

I am not much of a "knife guy" but as a young adult, I did work in a nice restaurant with chefs who were and spent A LOT of money on their knives. One thing I know that they would say. There are much more efficient ways of cutting than that "slasher" style Mike Myers was using.

I wish they would have made a card out of that picture. That would have been awesome.

Myers was not exactly a "stealthy" kind of guy; you know like hiding the knife behind his back.
