Yesterday in the Red Sox/Phillies game, Daniel Nava of the Red Sox hit the first pitch he ever saw in the major leagues for a grand slam; only the second player in history to do this.
Nava per AP, "I wanted to treat it like I normally do. I just said 'How are you guys doing (the umpire Bill Hohn and catcher, Brian Schneider)'. They didn't say anything."
Boom! Take that you snobs!
Ironically, the next time Nava came up, the bases were also loaded.
You can bet Schneider talked to him that time.
He's no fool.
