Born today, Mark Belanger.
Mark was one of only one of four players in baseball history to be a "Triple Crown loser" which describes a player who finishes last in each of the three batting Triple Crown categories in the league. To be considered, the player must have at least the same amount of at bats required for the league batting title.
In 1970, Belanger's one home run, 36 rbis and .218 batting average were good (bad?) enough to win this distinction.
I know this. If Belanger were alive and playing today, he would be available in 99.99% of all fantasy leagues.
That .01% would be your cousin Fillmore who is always trying to prove everybody wrong.
