Okaay, but people are going to talk, you know

I note that last night, Rangers manager, Ron Washington made a non-injury/non-pitch-count related pitching change with one out in the ninth inning with his team up 12-2.

?!?!

Can't be too careful, I guess. He did bring in their closer, Neftali Feliz to "shut it down".

?!?!

You know what people are going to start saying again.

I know he said it was a "one time" thing and all but....

According to a Yahoo! Sports report:

RHP Neftali Feliz was used in a non-save situation because he hadn't pitched in five days. Feliz came on with one out in the ninth to record the final two outs. He was rusty. He walked a batter and needed 18 pitches to get the final two outs. It's now unclear whether he will be available for Thursday's series finale.

I'm so glad I've got him on my Fantasy team.

Gotcha.

Does Neftali have an objection to starting an inning?

No, but there are times he has an objection to actually getting all 3 outs of an inning without imploding.

I thought it said Neifi Perez at frist. I thought you said the drugs were a one time thing.

Neftali is a bit better at his job than Neifi was. I don't know about Ron's claim of one-time drug use (before or after his admission).

Homework done?
