Walk-off strikeout!

The Rangers achieved the very elusive walk-off strikeout in yesterday's win over the Mariners last night.

Nelson Cruz of the Rangers was up in a tie game with a runner on first base with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning. Cruz then struck out however the strike out pitch was a wild pitch and the runner on first, Mitch Moreland scored on a throwing error.

"I sent Nelson up there to get it done, and he got it done," - Rangers manager Ron Washington.

Wow, that's very weird. I bet it's one of those "happened less than 20 times ever" kind of plays!

...and wasn't it MORELAND who "got it done" by hustling around?
