Ok if you are anywhere near TBS, you know that Kid Rock was "born free"

Actually Kid Rock grew up not too far from me in Romeo, Michigan.

I once went to a house party in Romeo.

Very interesting.

First off, they were all drinking whiskey out of a bottle. They all had their own. It's like what they did in Romeo. No shot glasses or even paper cups!

Then they started smokin' "funny things". I don't exactly know what it was. I thought it was maybe apricot extract but my buddy thought it was something closer to dried Arby's horsey sauce. One guy was using was a pipe but another guy had rolling papers. No consistency. The only "Smokin" we liked was that Boston song so we declined any other type of smokin'.

Next we heard this song that was the favorite song of a couple (now-divorced) friends of ours that were there. We couldn't find them all of the sudden and so we went to the basement to look for them but the door was locked for some reason. Didn't see them again that night.

Another thing. Even though Romeo was probably a 36 hour drive from Alabama, they played "Sweet Home Alabama" like ALL THE TIME. Especially in the summer. Not so much in the winter. Even after most of that band died in that plane crash when they didn't put enough gas in the plane. They sure kept their memory alive.

Born free in Romeo.

I witness.
