I thought he was gonna be a good major league hitter.Never given a real shot in the bigs.Real good power and a nice swing.Ted Williams, who briefly managed him in Washington,liked his swing.With Mets,Grote blocked his path.When Gil Hodges and the Mets converted him to 1st base Kranepool was the incumbant.They should have at least platooned him with Eddie K.Rest in peace,Greg Goosen.
