Harmon Killebrew


On this date in 1975, the Royals release Harmon Killebrew ending his 22 year career with 573 home runs.

Why did Harmon feel compelled to end his career in KC (no offense to that fine town)?

Signed as a free agent too. Guess he wasn't done and that was the only option.

Heck, every spring I look outside and wonder if the guys will ever get the softball team back together.
