What is it with the rigid, hoop looking necklaces on baseball players? I don't see those anywhere else but in baseball.
I think this guy would be a natural fit for the Rockies. Barney... Purple... come one, I'm not first one to think of this, right?
I can't say I noticed the hoop initially. My kids have those but they are "glow in the dark" and they only wear them to the fireworks on July 4th.
As for Colorado and Barney, I think Dinger over there has eclipsed him. I have only seen Dinger on baseball cards but he very well could be a distant cousin of Barney though I probably wouldn't brag aout it.
