Kelly Gruber

Born today none other than Kelly Gruber who was nicknamed "Xanthos" by the Toronto sportswriters because......well I don't know why they called him that.

To try and solve this mystery, I searched and eventually found a picture of Xanthos (the non-Kelly Gruber variety) and here it is.

Hmmm.

A guy accidentally clothed interacting with horses. There is not even a ballpark (or coliseum) in sight. I also cannot tell if this is the world's smallest stream or if those horses just made water.

I must say that Xanthos and Kelly Gruber were not exactly separated at birth. As a matter of fact, I hardly see any similarities.

Well this is a non-starter and I can see I will never figure this one out.
