On this date in 2003, Brewers tv and radio announcer, Bob Uecker is chosen for induction into the broadcasters' wing of the Hall of Fame as the recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award.
"I signed with the Milwaukee Braves out of high school for $3000. That bothered my dad at the time becaue he just couldn't come up with that kind of dough."
