Ed Stevens: 1925 - 2012

Is that why Jackie hit more home runs, had a higher fielding %, and hit 50 points higher in his very first year than Ed did? (never mind that Jackie only got better after that and Ed went on to never hit more home runs, hit for a higher average, etc.)
