Kenesaw Montain Landis


On this date in 1921, Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis suspends eight Chicago White Sox players for their alleged involvement in the fixing of the 1919 World Series.

"If I catch any crook in baseball, the rest of his life is going to be a hot one."
