On this date in 1997, Billy Jurges passed away at age 88.
"To me life without Billy isn't worth living, but why should I leave this earth alone? I'm going to take Billy with me." - suicide note left by girlfriend before she unsuccessfully tried to shoot Jurges after their romantic breakup. (Both were hit by gunfire but survived)
