Semi-coherent ramblings

Non-stop gushing and genuflecting from Buck and McCarver before Scott Rolen for going from first to third on a hit to shallow center. McCarver says he may be (gulp) the best baserunner in the major leagues?! Buck and McCarver would vote for him right now for the Hall of Fame on that play alone. Probably think he is an "inner-circle" guy too.

One pesky problem is Rolen is thrown out easily on the play with a competent throw.

Does Scott Boras know that Matt Holliday "don't field so well"? Flashbacks to last year's playoffs for some reason. The Cardinals should make an exception and let him shag flies before the game with the pitching staff. Can't hurt.
