I want to post something snarky and awful...but I can't. I mean, what can you say. It makes NO sense.

Even though they are better than most teams fourth and fifth starters, Hughes and Chamberlain still are a bit iffy but you don't want a teammate, especially their catcher, publically lobbying for a replacement.
Hughes and Chamberlain should get on the radio now and say that the Yankees really need a catcher. Burnett won't throw to Posada so why should they have to.
Same kind of thing.
