The AP report on last night's Indians loss to the Royals game indicates that Kerry Wood tossed his glove into the stands as he walked off the field to a chorus of boos after allowing four hits and five runs while getting only one out in 30 pitches in the ninth inning.
Obviously a nice souvenir to have but I do not think MLB authenticators at the park will authenticate a piece of equipment thrown into the stands in frustration.
I guess you might as well just play with it then.
I mean if you display it some way at your house and tell anybody that comes over what it is, they are just going to say, "Oh yeah, sure it is! Did I ever show you Joe Charboneau's bat that I have at home?" and then tell people you are delirious after they leave.
Who needs that?
Just play with it.
