Prince Fielder is a large target you know
Jon Krawczynski of AP notes that Prince Fielder was plunked twice in yesterday's Brewers/Twins game.
The first was when he got hit by a pitch by Carl Pavano and the second was when Orlando Hudson made a leaping catch and hit Fielder in the back with a throw while trying to double him up at first base.
It is good to see that apparently Prince did not go nuts after being hit by a ball as he has in the past.
On the hit by pitch, well who knows what happened there.
On being hit by a thrown ball from Hudson, if you have a 375lb* guy running the bases on a contested play, there is a pretty good chance that particular runner is going to get hit with the throw because there just is not enough clear space for that ball to go to in that situation.
Sorry, Prince.
Good player but big.
I bet that he understands.
*I don't care what the back of his baseball card says.

You hear about the First Annual MLB All-Star hot dog eating contest? Bengie Molina vs Prince Fielder. Winner gets automatic pinch-runners for the rest of the season.
Loser gets training sessions from Joey Chestnut.
