Leo Foster

On this date in 1971, Braves shortstop, Leo Foster made his major league debut against the Pirates by committing an error in his first chance, hitting into a double play in the 5th inning and hitting into a triple play in the 7th inning. Through no help from Foster, the Braves lost 11-2.

I sure hope Leo didn't leave any tickets for excited relatives.

Now THAT would suck.

I guess things didn't improve that much by 1975 which he spent in Tidewater (card not withstanding). Leo's career batting average was .198. On the other hand, he did spend time as a major league ballplayer.

Sub-Mendoza unfortunately for Leo but as you mention he got farther along in baseball than both of us, I suspect.
