David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that yesterday in batting practice, Chipper Jones literally hit the cover off a baseball.
O'Brien was so impressed by this feat that he posted a photo of the baseball literally bludgeoned by the bat of one Chipper Jones.
Big deal!
Bennie "The Jet" Rodriguez beat him by like 25 years!
Aren't baseball writers supposed to know baseball?

Here's hope he can stay healthy this season for the Braves. If he can continue to tear up balls like that...well then that is just the icing on the cake!
