Good thing Chipper Jones saved him during the 2 inches of snow death storm in Atlanta!

Angel Hernandez
"I will not watch a game, any game, officiated by Angel Hernandez. His incompetence amazes me and I'm tired of MLB doing squat about it." - Chipper Jones

Chipper Jones
"(Bobby) Cox, then the General Manager, liked Jones as a ballplayer. He wondered, though, if Jones had the requisite toughness to succeed. One day, supposedly a week before the draft, Cox got a report from a scout. An opposing player had begun yakking at Jones' pitcher. Being the sophisticated player Jones was (and remains), he responded by punching the player in the face. This delighted Cox and led the Braves to select Jones with the first-overall pick in the draft. Jones even signed his first professional contract with a broken hand endured from the punch." - R.J. Anderson, Baseball Prospectus

The Mets are going to present this hideous "picture" to Chipper Jones....
....on his last visit to Queens.
My "composition"* took about 35 seconds and I think is better.

Dan Uggla has the longest hitting streak in Braves history!
Hank Aaron: "Ummmm well, I just tried to hit home runs, you know. And it worked out pretty well for me, you know!"
Eddie Mathews: "Well I never committed three errors in an All Star Game. Those infield singles are lame, by the way. I usually hit it out of the infield."
John Smoltz: "He never batted against me."
Chipper Jones: "Can't say nothing. He's a teammate, you know. (cough)notreallyimpressedthough(cough)"

Chipper chimes in on the JFK assassination
"Having shot a hunting rifle all my life, I personally believe there was more than one shooter. The conspiracy behind it is what really intrigues me."
"I'm pretty sure it went pretty high but I don't know how high. Let's just say somebody had to put it into motion - and it was somebody high-ranking in the U.S. Government."*
Well I can tell you this! Having swung a bat, I can personally say that there is no way Mickey Mantle hit that ball 565 feet in Washington against the Senators that day. No way!
Too far. Too long. Too much propulsion for a simple wood bat.
I couldn't hit it a ball half that far and I have personally swung a bat!
It was a conspiracy to build up the mythic status of Mickey Mantle. Somebody in the Commissioner's Office put that into motion but I am not sure who but it must have been somebody really high up. Like really high.
Figured this out while swinging a bat.
I have also looked through a telescope and let me tell you, the universe is......

So what?!
David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that yesterday in batting practice, Chipper Jones literally hit the cover off a baseball.
O'Brien was so impressed by this feat that he posted a photo of the baseball literally bludgeoned by the bat of one Chipper Jones.
Big deal!
Bennie "The Jet" Rodriguez beat him by like 25 years!
Aren't baseball writers supposed to know baseball?
Not THAT impressive, you know!
