I am constantly amazed at the line-ups Leyland comes up with. If Avila and Peralta weren't having great years, we would be in big trouble. We basically have no 1, 2, 7, 8, or 9 hitters. How can that be? I love my team, but we can be so frustrating sometimes.
He is a "hunch" manager. Does things because he "feels" it will work. Things miraculously worked in 2006 (he started Alexis Gomez in a playoff game and the guy came through etc) but he has looked rather silly since, I think.

I hate "hunch" managers.
