"Nap Gate"

Griffey now says he was available to pinch-hit during his alleged "nap time" the other day and that "some" of the things being said about the incident are not accurate.
I guess it wasn't a Michael Jackson propofol-type "sleep" or anything.
It was just a regular old snooze. He was in uniform. He just needed to be woken up.
What do you think clubhouse attendants are for?
Stop hatin'!
Sweeney is still on the loose, you know.

So Mike Sweeney of the Mariners says......

.....that the reporter completely "made up" the Ken Griffey Jr. "nap story" because nobody from the Mariners told him that.
Completely "made up". There just aren't enough real stories in Seattle so this reporter was in a desperate state and he started "making things up".
Sweeney's proof?
None of his teammates would fight him for Griffey's honor in the clubhouse.
Give me a break!
Who is gonna risk injury stepping on a pillow fighting Mike Sweeney* in that clubhouse?
He should really go soak his head and come back when he is more lucid.
*.176 batting average this year. He should have been in the batting cage while he was doing his WWE shtick. I bet that he thinks they see him as a "leader" now.
Because we like to give advice here

Ken Griffey Jr. owes Eric Milton a favor

Ken Griffey Jr. hit a home run off of Eric Milton of the Dodgers in the 6th inning of Saturday's game. It is noted that this was Griffey's first home run at Dodger Stadium since Mother's Day, 2007 and it came with his wife, Melissa in the stands celebrating her birthday.
Considering the circumstances, if I was Eric Milton, I would have grooved it right in there too. Considering how many homers Milton gives up, nobody would ever know.
